Ethan,
I agree, Brian should make fire to keep him warm and do other stuff to keep him alive.

My favorite part in the book Hatchet is when Brian found food and when Brian was near the bear and did not get hurt and when Brian made the fire and when Brian found shelter. It's always good to be safe.

I think the best part is when he makes a fire because I thought it was a big acheivement. The fire kept him warm and protected him from the mosquitos.

I have 2 favorite parts in Hatchet. My first one is when Brian eats raw turtle eggs. I felt like I could taste it. I was about to barf. It was so descriptive, I felt sick.

My second one is when Brian makes fire. It was STUPENDOUS of him to do that. Maybe someday we will ALL be stupendous.

My favorite part so far is when Brian got the porcupine needles into his leg. I like that part the best because there were great details that dragged you into the story and you understood how Brian felt and his pain. But there are other good details in the story to help you understand what is happening.

I agree, there are great details at the porcupine part that you can understant the pain. I think that through out each chapter there is details that you can understand what Brian is feeling or doing.

I think I know Brian's favorite part in the book it was probably when he made the fire. I think that because the fire helps him with warmth and the mosquitoes( repelling the mosquitoes). Brian probably also likes when he finds food because he wont starve when that happens.

Brad,
That wasn't my favorite part, but I agree that Brian was VERY brave of himself to stand up to the bear. But you know what Brad? I think that Brian was also very brave to pull out that pine needle one by one. If I was Brian, I would have taken time to pull the needle (so I won't feel the pain). Because you need lots of courage to pull out things out of your foot. It's worse than splinters!

My favorite part in chapter 11 is when Brian remembered that fish are a food that humans can eat. I also liked when he saw the clams which are food for humans too.I like that part because it means that Brian has finally found healthier food.

My favorite part so far is Brian catching fishes. He still hasn't got any but I hope he gets at least a fish. The reason why I like this part is because fishing is one of my favorite subject (even though I never fished before...).

My favorite part of the book so far is when Brian sees the bear. Because I've never met a bear in person before. If I did I would be so scared. Brian is so brave.

my favorite part about the book is the part when Brian ate the gut cherries like a savage because it was kind of funny how he just chowed down the gut cherries even though he didn't even know if they were safe to eat.

My favorite part was the first time he got swarmed by bugs that bit him all over because it showed why you do not want to live in the northern Canadian woods without something to keep the bugs away.
